Canadian pension fund manager AIMCo agreed to acquire the Yeeda Aggregation — Kimberley Meat Company's beef processing facility, the 475,000-hectare Yeeda Station, and a Broome/Derby residential property portfolio — for A$55 million, deepening its existing WA pastoral investments. The seller had been in voluntary administration since February 2024 with over A$100m in debt; settlement was delayed to 31 October 2025.

Why the buyer wanted it

AIMCo wanted to expand its Kimberley-region agricultural investments (following its 2023 Yougawalla Pastoral Co purchase) with a rare export-accredited beef processing facility in northern WA.

Why the seller agreed

The Yeeda Group entities were sold out of voluntary administration to settle over $100m in debt.
